MEET DANIEL LUCAS

Dan Lucas is the owner of Sharpening Center and one of the four generations of blade sharpeners in his family. Dan has a unique history that has gained him expertise in the blade sharpening industry which allowed the Sharpening Center to learn directly from the people who wrote the book on how to care for their products. He traveled all over the world to the elite blade manufacturers as a buyer, which led him to founding the Sharpening Center in Hopkins, MN.

Dan learned from old-world masters in Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Austria, France and other countries how to create the ultimate edge on world-class knives, swords, and other blades. He realized that custom blades needed customized sharpening to maintain the sharp, precise edges. You cannot find the sharpening expertise found at Sharpening Center anywhere else – Dan and his team have customized sharpening equipment and tools that can obtain the ultimate edge on any blade, making them the best in the sharpening industry.

At the Sharpening Center, we provide custom, hand-honed blade sharpening for knives, scissors, clippers, medical tools, manufacturing equipment, and all types of specialized blades.
